Trinity Metro contract renewal gives CEO seven-year term

Trinity Metro contract renewal has been approved for President & CEO Richard Andreski. The board backed a seven-year extension in a unanimous vote on May 18. This is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Andreski joined Trinity Metro in 2022. According to Trinity Metro, he has overseen efforts to make the transit system more approachable. The agency said those efforts also aim to make it easier to navigate for existing passengers and first-time users. Also, Trinity Metro said he has prepared the agency for infrastructure and expansion work. That work includes the TEXRail extension into Fort Worth’s Medical District and the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) double-track project.

Board Chair Jeff Davis said:

Andreski said:

“I’m honored by the trust the board has placed in me,” said Andreski. “The progress Trinity Metro has made over the last four years reflects an incredible team, strong partnerships across our region, and a shared commitment to building a transit system that helps shape the future of Fort Worth and Tarrant County.”

Trinity Metro serves Fort Worth and Tarrant County. TEXRail provides direct access to DFW International Airport. TRE provides downtown connections between Fort Worth and Dallas. In addition, the agency operates bus service, on-demand paratransit and microtransit, bikes, and vanpool services.
