Produced by the Turkish company Bozankaya, the tram is now ready for its journey to Timișoara, Romania, sporting a yellow livery, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The Turkish manufacturer began cooperation with Timișoara back in 2019, when Bozankaya delivered 23 trams in a purple livery. The new delivery of 17 trams will feature a yellow livery.

The first yellow tram, manufactured for the residents of Timișoara, rolled off the assembly line on May 6th and has already set off for Romania.

Bozankaya trams can travel at least 70 km without interruption with their battery system.

It is for this innovative feature that Turkish trams were awarded the European Railway Clusters Initiative (ERCI) award in 2021 and earned the title of ‘Most Innovative Company in Europe’.
