“In the coming years, we plan to increase the metro by 50-60 stations, including the completion of the construction of the Big Circle Line and the opening of three new metro lines,” Sobyanin said. According to him, as a result of this construction, 95% of Muscovites will live within walking distance from metro stations, and “the city will become closer for residents of all districts of the capital.”

It is also planned to upgrade the rolling stock of the Moscow tram by 100%, the metro and suburban rail services by 80%, and environmentally friendly electric buses should replace most of the diesel buses on the streets of Moscow.
