The shunting locomotive MT-42G
The MT-42G shunting locomotive is a product of the in-house production of LLC “MLRP”
Technical specifications of the MT-42G shunting locomotive:
- Power unit: 880 kW, with a diesel generator providing 50% of the power and traction batteries supplying the remaining 50%.
- Cummins QSK19 diesel engine: 600 hp/440 kW, operating at 1800 rpm.
- 4-axle configuration with a load of 23 tons per axle.
- Power distribution: 80 kW for internal needs, and 800 kW directly for traction.
- Type of electrical transmission: variable-frequency AC (traction generator – synchronous AC, traction motors – asynchronous with a short-circuited rotor (4 pcs)).
- Auxiliary machine drive: AC electric motors.
- Traction gearbox ratio: 4.41.
LLC “MLRP” provides services for the maintenance of MT-42G locomotives.
The manufacturing and delivery time for one locomotive is 9-12 months. The warranty for the MT-42G is 24 months from the date of signing the commissioning certificate.
