The railway of Moldova announced the sale of decommissioned wagons

The Moldavian Railway put up for sale 51 decommissioned wagons.
They sell wagons of different models, along with axles and wheels. The weight of each wagon is more than 50 tons, informs Railway Supply, citing noi.md.
The railroad offers to buy decommissioned equipment as scrap or for other uses, such as building garages or makeshift warehouses.

At the same time, the director of the Russian Railways said that the company needs to purchase about 4,000 new freight cars within three years, “otherwise we simply won’t survive.”
In addition, the railway needs 30 shunting locomotives.
Recall that the cargo turnover of the Moldovan Railway in January 2022 amounted to 95.38 million t/km and exceeded the traffic figures for the first month of the year over the past 5 years.
