It is expected that after the upgrade, these carriages will offer improved comfort conditions for passengers, as reported by the company “NPO A.T.O.R.,” a leader in comprehensive supply for passenger carriages, electric trains, and socially oriented transport.
Currently, 60 second-class compartment carriages have already been received, featuring various enhancements such as updated interiors, installation of air conditioning, information displays, automatic doors, and replacement of trolleys with more noise-reducing ones.
This rolling stock is designed for a maximum speed of up to 160 km/h.
This modernization process is being carried out under a contract signed in 2022 for nearly 0.5 billion zlotys (approximately €115.5 million).
