The participating countries plan to establish a joint project company for the construction of the railway, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

to build a railway

Kyrgyzstan’s President Sadyr Japarov announced this on March 20 during a meeting with the Deputy General Director of the China State Railway Group, Wang Tunjun.

The delivery of Škoda Vagonka electric trains to Latvia is being delayed due to the invasion by the Russian Federation

According to him, it is expected that the joint venture will operate on a ‘build-operate-transfer’ (BOOT) model. Japarov stated, ‘Kyrgyzstan is very determined and intends to build the mainline in the next few years.’

Recall that on March 17, LogiStan reported that after repeated trilateral negotiations, China, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan settled on creating a joint commercial enterprise.

The trilateral private Chinese-Kyrgyz-Uzbek structure will be responsible for the design, operation, and management of the railway.

After some time, the railway should transfer to the ownership of the participating countries in the project.
