For all enterprises in Ukraine, including PJSC “Kryukovsky Railway Car Building Works“, 2023 was a period of testing endurance and resilience.

Vladimir PRIHODKO, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PJSC “Kryukovsky Railway Car Building Works“

We proved to ourselves and to the Government, Presidential Administration, Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and the Cabinet of Ministers that we can fulfill significant state orders even in conditions of martial law.

The contract for 100 wagons was successfully completed, with 85% of the production happening amid air raid sirens, overcoming cooperation and logistics challenges.

We sourced components from shelling areas, understanding the difficulties faced by our partners.

Yet, they, too, kept their word.

The PJSC “Kryukovsky Railway Car Building Works“ once again affirmed: if it takes on an obligation, it will undoubtedly fulfill it!

Passenger cars and diesel trains from KRCBW are high-quality products. Straight from the factory floor, they hit the main lines and operate successfully on the Ukrainian railway.

Everyone understood they were dealing with a team capable of tackling tasks under incredibly challenging conditions.

For the new tenders in 2023, supplying 44 and 22 passenger cars, we came with a reputation as reliable manufacturers.

The work in 2022–2023 helped us achieve a well-deserved victory and secure new orders.

This will facilitate a reset of the passenger car manufacturing program at KRCBW and the industry as a whole in Ukraine.

As for freight car manufacturing, there are many objective reasons hindering this direction. Only three enterprises for manufacturing freight cars remain in Ukraine. Due to a significant reduction in the market for this product, they compete for every dozen cars.

Exports have decreased due to the logistical complexities of transporting products to Central Asian countries, the Baltic states, etc.

However, we are grateful for what we have, namely: a breakthrough in passenger car manufacturing and a positive shift in freight.

All of this allowed us to move forward, including increasing the working week’s duration, deciding to raise wages from December 1, 2023, and in subsequent periods in line with the minimum wage growth in Ukraine throughout 2024.

This step will improve employees’ financial well-being, reduce turnover, and attract qualified workers.

I believe all of this will have a positive impact on the morale of labor collectives and the families of workers. This will enable us to support the veteran and trade union organization of KRCBW.

Like every Ukrainian, all my hopes are for the swift end of the war in 2024. I earnestly aspire to end the suffering of the Ukrainian people and the state as a whole.

The tragic period must come to an end. We have earned it through incredible sacrifices and struggle!

From the Supervisory Board, Board of Directors, management of PJSC “Kryukovsky Railway Car Building Works“ from myself and the Prihodko family, I sincerely congratulate the entire workforce, veterans of the enterprise, on the winter holidays – Christmas and New Year!

Heartfelt congratulations to the residents of Kremenchuk, the people of Poltava, our partners in Ukraine and abroad! Colleagues, friends, fellow countrymen, I wish all of us, above all, peace and peaceful work!

I wish families separated by war to reunite.

May our soldiers and women with children return home faster. It’s like a raw nerve – it hurts every day when children and grandchildren are beyond Ukraine, when men and women are at war, in mortal danger.

We are waiting for you at the plant. I wish for peace and comfort to come to Ukraine, and a happy future to become a reality.

I am confident that our team and our enterprise will emerge from these trials, demonstrating our strength and unity!
