Talgo has delivered its first Avril trains to Renfe after completing testing
15.04.2024
Over the past year, the new rolling stock has traveled nearly 300,000 kilometers to ensure full compatibility with all types of railway lines in Spain, including routes connecting Galicia, Asturias, Catalonia, and Valencia, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Avril is the most advanced train by Talgo, aiming to set a new standard in the high-speed railway market.
LTG Cargo has implemented the Intermodal Transportation Management System (ITMS)
Each single-deck train, consisting of 12 cars and measuring 200 meters in length, can accommodate up to 581 passengers.
The model was designed with reduced weight to lower energy consumption and optimize efficiency.
Talgo Avril is part of a highly flexible technological platform. It can automatically adjust track gauge and can be equipped with technology for operation north of the Pyrenees.
This allows the model to be used on virtually the entire electrified railway network, enabling Renfe to serve more routes with the new high-speed rail infrastructure, including international connections between Spain and France.
