For its part, Systra Chile will carry out detailed design studies covering the track and the catenary system.

After those detailed design studies are completed, Systra will also perform an infrastructure audit and provide consulting expertise. The work includes integrating the railway and catenary systems, setting up temporary track diversions, and producing complete BIM modeling using ISTRAM and Civil 3D software, as noted in Systra’s contract announcement. In parallel, Systra will coordinate with Sacyr and EFE to optimize technical and economic aspects through active interface management, in line with the established Interface Management Plan.

Santiago Batuco railway project: inspection and project support

The Santiago Batuco railway project involves a 26 km line with eight stations, including a section to be built underground. The project has a total estimated value of USD 950 million. Within the scope, Systra will contribute to the technical works inspection service and provide project management support, helping to supervise, inspect and control the correct and timely fulfillment of contractual obligations.

The service also calls for competent professionals to supervise compliance with the construction contracts included in the work, ensuring they are executed on time and comply with applicable rules and regulations. Along the line, the 24-minute journey will serve eight stations and a population of 590,000 inhabitants. The contract is set to be executed by a consortium comprising Systra, Applus Ingelog (leader) and Consultrans, a consulting firm in the Transport & Logistics sector.
