Successful Delivery of Oversized Cargo from China to Uzbekistan
18.09.2024
Kedentransservice, a subsidiary of Kazakhstan Railways, has successfully completed the delivery of oversized cargo from China to Uzbekistan, transiting through Kazakhstan, as reported by the railway news portal Railway Supply.
The main cargo consisted of 25-meter-long rails manufactured in China. The total weight of the shipment was 2,145 tons.
The route passed through Kazakhstan with transshipment at the Altynkol border railway station, located at the junction of China and Kazakhstan.
The rails were then delivered to the Chukursay station in Uzbekistan, where they will be used to develop local transport infrastructure.
According to plans, by the end of 2024, Kedentransservice aims to transport about 11,000 more tons of similar long-sized cargo via this route.
These deliveries play a key role in strengthening trade and logistics ties between China, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan, contributing to the development of international transport corridors and improving rail connections in the region.
Kazakhstan remains a crucial link in transit transportation between China and Central Asian countries, supporting steady growth in freight turnover.
