Stadler Signalling Opens Office in the US for Atlanta Project

Stadler Signalling has opened an office in Atlanta to launch the CBTC project and strengthen its presence in the US rail automation market, beginning with a major $500 million contract signed with the MARTA agency. This is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The new facility is located in downtown Atlanta, near MARTA’s headquarters. It includes coworking zones, laboratories, and engineering workspaces.

The company plans to recruit local professionals to ensure successful delivery of the CBTC project and support future opportunities across North America.
The contract, signed in November 2024, covers the full modernization of the signaling system across four metro lines totaling 77 km with 38 stations.
In addition to signaling, Stadler will supply 127 new trains to replace Atlanta Metro’s aging fleet, improving safety and operational reliability.
