Stadler has signed a contract for 25 ORION electric trains

The Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn railway operator has entered into an agreement with Stadler for the supply of 25 ORION electric trains, designed for use on cogwheel track sections, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
The deal is valued at 266 million Swiss francs.

These low-floor trains ensure comfort for all passengers, including those with limited mobility, offering amenities such as Wi-Fi, seating areas, and compartments for luggage.
Delivery of the first 12 trains is scheduled by the end of 2023, with the second batch of 25 trains set to be delivered starting from early 2025.
