Slovac Railways (ŽSR): Contract for modernization of railway infrastructure
The Railways of the Slovak Republic (ŽSR) signed a contract for the works under the ŽSR project “Completion of the construction of the Žilina-Teplichka station and the adjacent railway infrastructure at the Žilina junction”. The modernization will be carried out by the Pod Dubňom Association headed by Strabag, s. r. o., Bratislava, reports railway magazine «Railway Supply» citing Zilina

It is planned to open a new terminal in Mostiska by the end of the year
The cost of the contract for the modernization of the railway infrastructure is 323.37 million euros. The project will be financed from two sources.
- 68 864 444,75 EUR – CEF
- 254 508 557,71 EUR – OP Integrated Infrastructure and OP Словакия
Modernization consists of the reconstruction of the existing railway line, an increase in the level of technical equipment, the installation of modern and more progressive elements, which will improve its technical parameters, safety and performance in general.
