Škoda: That is how passenger cars for Warsaw metro are building

Martin Bendarz (Škoda Vagonka) shared the picture of the made body of the first passenger car for Warsaw metro. The contract is underway, but this is only the beginning. According to the terms of the contract, the first train is due to arrive in Warsaw in a year.

The tender for the supply of 45 new trains was announced in May 2107. The order provides thesupplying of 37 new trains (222 cars, including 74 with the driver’s cab). However, there is anoption to supply eight more trains (48 cars, including 16 with the driver’s cab), as railway magazine Railway Supply informs reffering to Transport Publiczny
