Siemens Mobility has secured contracts worth €670 million to transform Britain’s rail infrastructure. This project will revolutionize train operations, enhance capacity, and improve energy efficiency across the network. This was reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Innovative Systems Delivered by Siemens Mobility
Siemens Mobility will implement cutting-edge Automatic Train Operations (ATO) over ETCS Level 2. These advancements improve train punctuality and reduce energy consumption while enabling semi-automatic operations for improved efficiency.

The company will also design and deliver an Engineering Management System to provide real-time equipment control and monitoring. This innovative solution enhances reliability and operational performance, meeting the demands of high-speed rail.
Siemens Mobility and Power Supply Innovations
A joint venture with Costain Ltd ensures reliable high-voltage power systems for HS2. These systems, essential for train operations, will connect power from the National Grid, ensuring uninterrupted services.
The collaboration underscores Siemens Mobility’s commitment to sustainability, supporting the UK’s ambitious infrastructure goals. Maintenance support will be provided for at least seven years, ensuring long-term efficiency.
