The locomotives will be assembled at the Siemens Mobility plant in Munich, with the bogies produced at the facility in Graz, Austria.

An optional provision allows for the delivery of an additional 35 locomotives of either the Vectron MS or Vectron Dual Mode models, which can operate both from an overhead contact line and on diesel power.

RS Lease already operates a fleet of 90 Vectron MS locomotives, fully maintained by Siemens Mobility.

With the new deliveries, the company’s fleet will increase to 155 units, strengthening its position in the leasing market of traction rolling stock.

Negotiations are underway to expand service coverage for the newly ordered locomotives, ensuring high reliability and operational efficiency.

These electric locomotives are in demand due to their versatility and technical specifications, making them an ideal solution for international freight transport.

Modern Vectron locomotives continue to attract operators due to their combination of high power, environmental sustainability, and adaptability to various operational conditions.

The signing of the new contract highlights the successful cooperation between RS Lease and Siemens Mobility, aimed at enhancing rail transport capabilities in Europe.
