At present Siemens Mobility does not have a footprint in India’s passenger transport equipment market. At the same time, BEML bagging multiple contracts for metro cars and electric trains.
Siemens Mobility also has also a tram bogie factory since 2022. Metro train assembly will also soon be localised in Aurangabad too. BEML’s contract also includes trains running at a speed of 250 km/h and is the first of its kind rolling stock to run Indian tracks.
