According to the 2019 agreement between DVB and Alstom, DVB intends to exercise the option for additional tram deliveries, expanding its fleet to 10 new units.
These new trams will not only increase passenger capacity and provide comfortable conditions for travelers but also incorporate advanced technologies. Their LED lighting, wide sliding doors, and a maximum speed of 70 km/h will make journeys more convenient and efficient.
The contract with Alstom is part of Dresden’s transportation infrastructure development strategy.
It also emphasizes the long-term partnership between DVB and Alstom, which began with a previous order for 30 trams.
The decision to activate the option for an additional 7 trams underscores the operator’s trust in the quality of Alstom’s products and technical support.
This move can also play a key role in reducing transportation issues and improving the mobility of city residents.
Acquiring modern and efficient trams reflects Dresden’s commitment to a sustainable and innovative urban environment.
