Russian Railways has offered two tariff plans for access tracks
20.01.2021
Companies that use access tracks belonging to Russian Railways will be able to pay for them to one of the selected tariff plans, depending on the traffic intensity.
According to the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to the press service of Russian Railways, the relevant rates and the procedure for their application have been introduced since the beginning of 2021 by the decision of the company’s board.
The new tariffication rules provide for two payment options. Under the “Unlimited” tariff, the client pays daily at the rates set for 1 km of track, according to the “Locomotive” tariff – for each locomotive’s access to these tracks. The second option is supposed to be of interest to customers with small volumes of loading and unloading.
Previously, the payment for the use of non-public railway tracks owned by the carrier did not differentiate.
