Railroad Software has added additional features for track geometry and configuration management to its TrackAsset platform. The new track geometry features include the ability to collect and store data on alignment, curvature, and cross-level, while the configuration management functions allow railways to control the location and condition of assets, including tracks and signals.

Škoda Group is supplying Tesmec Rail with electrical equipment for 44 electro-diesel locomotives for technical maintenance, which were ordered by the Italian infrastructure manager RFI last year.

Wagon lessor Ermewa has opened an office in Hamburg, led by Jacob Kudlinsky, who is also responsible for asset management in the Intermodal division. “We want to promote technical topics and further improve the productivity and service of our fleet,” he said on May 31. “As an office responsible for managing assets of our intermodal fleet, we are in the right place in Hamburg. We want to expand what has already proven itself here in the field of combined transport throughout Europe.”

Egis and Thales have signed a memorandum of understanding regarding cooperation in the transport sector in the Asia-Pacific region, where Thales provides control center, telecommunications, security systems, passenger information, signaling, and ticketing services, and Egis offers infrastructure design and engineering services. “Together, we will leverage our respective areas of expertise,” said Philippe Schulzinger, Egis’ Regional Director of Business Mobility for Asia.
