Additionally, Sharlapayev stated that the Semipalatinsk Engineering Plant will produce up to 600 freight cars annually. This initiative will help meet rising demand for cargo transport and boost manufacturing capacity.

According to the minister, Kazakhstan plans to increase freight car production to 2,000 units annually by 2024. This expansion will significantly enhance the nation’s rail logistics capacity and economic stability.

Producing passenger cars is expected to reach 122 units per year, while locomotive output will total 130 units annually. This growth will increase Kazakhstan’s transport independence and open new export opportunities in neighboring regions.
