Aghdam Railway Station Designed for Regional Impact
The railway terminal can serve 800–1,000 passengers daily, while the bus station will accommodate 1,300–1,500 travelers per day. Together, they form an integrated public transport hub.
Spanning nearly 8 hectares, the site includes modern infrastructure: waiting halls, ticket counters, a library, shops, dining facilities, and recreational areas to ensure passenger comfort and convenience.
Visitors have direct access to platforms and bus bays, which are designed for quick transfers. The terminal improves connectivity and supports urban mobility across the region.
New Aghdam Railway Complex Boosts Connectivity
The complex also features service buildings for vehicle maintenance, passenger platforms, electric vehicle charging stations, and bicycle parking stands.
Additional elements include parking lots, bus platforms for intercity and local routes, and landscaped green zones to promote sustainable transit options.
A symbolic passenger train launched on the Barda–Aghdam Railway route shortly after the opening, signaling the return of railway services to Aghdam.
The Aghdam Railway terminal is expected to play a vital role in economic revitalization and regional accessibility, reinforcing Azerbaijan’s post-conflict reconstruction efforts.
