Austrian carrier OBB has entered into a framework agreement with the German company Zagro for an amount of €25 million for the supply of up to 34 battery-powered shunting locomotives, as reported by the railway portal Railway Supply.

The duration of the agreement is 8 years.

Operation of Turkey’s High-Speed Electric Trains

As part of the supply, it is planned to deliver 12 locomotives with a trailing load capacity of up to 500 tons, 12 locomotives with a trailing load capacity of up to 700 tons, and 10 locomotives with a trailing load capacity of up to 1,000 tons.
