The delivery of Stadler Euro9000 locomotives for RailCare is secured through a comprehensive service leasing contract with European Loc Pool, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The locomotive supply to RailCare is set to commence in the third quarter of 2024.

“We were seeking locomotives with advanced technology and high energy efficiency. The Euro9000 not only meets these criteria but also possesses unparalleled tractive power. This will enable us to enhance the throughput capacity of the Lötschberg and Gotthard routes,” stated RailCare CEO Philipp Wegmüller.
