The Pomeranian Voivodeship has entered into a contract worth PLN 128 million with Newag for the supply of four dual-mode electric-diesel multiple-unit trains, called Impuls 2, reports the Railway Supply journal citing Newag.

The contract was signed on May 15, and the deliveries are scheduled for the second half of 2024. The order is financed from national and EU sources.

The trains will initially be used on the Koszalin-Gdynia, Somonino-Kartuzy, and Gliniec-Kartuzy lines, which are currently being electrified as part of a development program.

The trains will feature passenger information systems, toilets, video surveillance, Wi-Fi, and facilities for passengers with reduced mobility.
