PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe SA has received over 700 million euros under the EU program “Connecting Europe Facility” (CEF) for four important railway projects, according to the Railway Supply portal, citing Nakolei.

Thanks to the support of the EU, investments will be made in key European transportation routes: the E65 line between Zabrze and Zebździdówice, E75 between Białystok and Ełk, E30 between Żywiec and Medyka (project documentation), and the solidarity project at the border crossings with Ukraine.
Ukraine agreed to resume the transit of agricultural products through Poland
PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe SA participated in the CEF competition “Connecting Europe Facility” for the period 2021-2027. As an individual beneficiary, PLK SA submitted 7 applications for co-financing totaling 1.6 billion euros. In one of the projects presented by the European Transport Project Center, PLK SA is participating as a partner together with Ukrainian Railways.
The success of PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe SA lies in obtaining financing from the EU’s CEF program for four international corridor projects. The CEF funds allocated to PLK SA represent approximately 70% of all funds allocated to Poland.
The following railway projects have received financing from CEF:
- Works on major passenger routes (E30 and E65) in Silesia, “Stage I: E65 line between Zabrze and Zebździdówice (state border)” – co-financing amounting to 362 million euros;
