PKP Intercity is selling 23 electric locomotives through an electronic auction, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
The BPL4-073-PS-0038/2024 procedure is open to interested participants who must adhere to specific conditions and deadlines.

The auction process begins with the submission of applications for participation.
Tender participants need to provide required documents, including proof of a deposit payment of 100,000 złoty. PKP Intercity notes that all procedures will be conducted in Polish.

The auction is scheduled to conclude at the end of February 2024, allowing participants sufficient time for preparation.
Additionally, the auction aims not only to sell existing assets but also to modernize PKP Intercity’s fleet, replacing older locomotive models with more modern, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly vehicles.
This strategy aligns with global trends in railway transport, focusing on sustainability and carbon emission reduction.
