PKP Intercity initiates the bidding process for the purchase of 18 locomotives

On November 16, 2023, in accordance with Public Procurement Law, PKP Intercity SA opened proposals from leading manufacturers CZ LOKO as and H. Cegielski – Fabryka Pojazdów Szynowych sp z o.o. (€35.3 million) respectively, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The total budget allocated for this project is 137,597,886 Polish zlotys (€31.3 million), indicating significant investments by PKP Intercity in the development of railway infrastructure.
Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are working to increase railway freight traffic
The client demands the delivery of entirely new locomotives of the same type, equipped with entirely new units and components. The delivery of the first locomotive is required no later than 18 months from the date of contract conclusion.
