Passenger Car Electrical Equipment Set
The electrical equipment set for passenger car EV-32 designed for CIC model 47K (D) cars
The passenger car electrical equipment is intended for the control, monitoring, and diagnostics of power supply, climate control, and lighting systems in passenger cars.
Brief description of the components of the passenger car electrical equipment set:
Passenger Car Control Panel
Nominal Voltage: 110 V.
The control panel provides automatic and manual control, monitoring, and diagnostics of the following car systems:
- Power supply
- Lighting
- Climate control system (heating, air conditioning – both heating/cooling and monoblock under-roof conditioner)
- Special consumers
High-Voltage Box of the Passenger Car
Nominal Voltages:
- Control circuits, direct current – 110 V
- High-voltage circuits, direct or alternating current – 3000 V
The high-voltage box ensures:
- Reception and switching of electrical energy from the under-carriage mainline
- Protection of heating circuits from overloads and short circuits
- Protection against insulation breakdown of boiler electronic heaters
- Personnel protection from high voltage, including when opening the box lid
- Transmission of signals to the control panel about the presence of voltage in the under-carriage mainline and breakdown of boiler electronic heaters’ insulation
- Control of two groups of boiler heaters with a power of 24 kW each.
Passenger Car External Power Supply Box
Provides power supply to the car from three-phase industrial network voltage of 380 V, 50 Hz during car standstill and from the under-carriage generator while the car is in motion. The external power supply box also regulates the charging current for the battery. It includes rectifier bridges from the generator and transformer, as well as control, monitoring, and protection devices.
- Input Voltage: ~380 V, 50 Hz
- Number of Phases: 3
- Output Voltage, Direct Current: 120 V … 145 V
- Initial Nominal Power: 36 kW
