Amtrak’s Pacific Surfliner will add service across several key cities this summer. The aim is to make travel between matches easier. According to Pacific Surfliner, the LOSSAN Rail Corridor Agency is working on the effort. The agency oversees the Pacific Surfliner. It is working with the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board.

The partnership is meant to help residents and visitors get to matches and fan events. It is meant to make those trips easier. At the same time, it is meant to reduce traffic stress. It also offers a scenic way to move around SoCal during the World Cup. Under the plan, the service will add one more daily round trip. It will run between San Diego and Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, the route also serves Orange County, Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo. In addition, trains arrive directly in DTLA. From there, passengers can continue by local transit, rideshare services, or dedicated event shuttles. Those services reach stadiums and fan zones.
20% discount on Pacific Surfliner fares
Separately, one of the major fan celebrations will take place at Union Station. It is scheduled for June 25 to June 28. Also, Amtrak is introducing a limited-time 20% discount on Pacific Surfliner tickets. It will apply during the tournament period.
The offer applies to travel between May 1 and July 15, 2026. Most Pacific Surfliner trains offer spacious seating. They also include complimentary Wi-Fi, power outlets, and a café car. For soccer fans heading to Los Angeles this summer, the added trains offer another option. Lower fares add to the appeal of rail travel.
