Siemens Mobility has secured a contract to deliver an additional 21 Desiro ML electric trains for the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB), this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

With this order, ÖBB’s Desiro ML fleet will increase to 294 trains.

Ukrzaliznytsia has added two medical evacuation railway cars to its fleet

From 2026, these trains will serve local routes in the eastern part of the country.

Each Desiro ML train is equipped with 217 adjustable ergonomic seats with ample legroom.

Passengers will also appreciate the automatic climate control, power sockets, folding laptop tables, and footrests.

Additional modern amenities include information displays, Wi-Fi connectivity, and an onboard portal.
