This locomotive is made of low-alloy steel and is based on the Eurodual platform, highlighting its advanced technology and adaptability to modern rail transport requirements.

The uniqueness of the locomotive lies in its hybrid traction system. It can operate both from a 25 kV catenary and a Cummins Stage V diesel engine with a power output of 1.8 MW.

In electric mode, the wheel rim power reaches 6.2 MW, ensuring excellent dynamic performance.

The maximum speed is 120 km/h, with a starting tractive force of 500 kN and a continuous tractive force of 430 kN.

The locomotive is equipped with modern drives with IGBT-based inverters, enhancing its efficiency and reliability.

In 2022, GB Railfreight signed a contract with Stadler for the supply of 30 such locomotives, with an option to extend the order by another 20 units.

The first locomotive will be sent for testing in the Czech Republic in December this year, with full operation starting in 2025.

Stadler is actively promoting its innovative solutions in the market, offering eco-friendly and powerful locomotives for freight transport needs in the UK.
