In September of this year, static tests are planned, followed by dynamic tests at the Zhmigrude test track.

It is expected that this locomotive will be authorized for operation in countries such as Poland, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary.

Under contracts signed in 2021 and 2023, the Polish company PKP Intercity has ordered 15 Griffin E4MSUa electric locomotives for international routes, with a total value of $90 million.

Newag began manufacturing locomotives for the Polish market in the early 2010s.

This summer, the Dragon 2 freight electric locomotive, with a maximum speed of 120 km/h, received authorization for operation in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The company Pesa is also developing a line of Gama2 locomotives capable of speeds up to 200 km/h.

Both Polish companies aim to enter the European Union market with their new machines.
