LTG Link, the passenger transport company of the Lietuvos Geležinkeliai Group, is set to launch a new international rail connection with Latvia this winter, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
Following the agreement of Baltic transport ministers and prime ministers, the inaugural train from Vilnius to Riga is expected to depart on December 27, marking a significant step in enhancing regional connectivity.

Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania, Loreta Maskaliovienė, expressed optimism about the project, emphasizing its role in fostering closer ties between Baltic capitals.
She envisions future extensions to Tallinn and anticipates enhanced connectivity with the completion of the “Rail Baltica” railway line.
