China’s investment in Kyrgyzstan’s section amounts to ¥33.9 billion ($4.7 billion), with completion targeted for 2030.

China holds a 51% stake in the managing joint venture, while Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan share the remaining 49% equally.
