Trial Operations of the New High-Speed Rail Line Begin

The comprehensive trial run for the new high-speed rail line meticulously assesses its operational readiness. This phase examines rail transport organization, train dispatching, operating density, and equipment reliability, providing a solid foundation for its formal inauguration. Using standard high-speed train models, the trial replicates real passenger services across all stations, ensuring seamless future operations.

Rail Travel Leader: Switzerland’s Unmatched Dominance in European Rail Systems

Construction began in June 2020, marking a significant milestone for regional transportation infrastructure. By June 2024, the line achieved track-laying completion, followed by static acceptance in August and integrated commissioning tests in September. During this rigorous process, test trains operated at various speeds, completing over 770 runs and accumulating 52,000 kilometers of testing mileage.

Speed, Safety, and Efficiency Define the Project’s Success

Integrated test trains reached an impressive maximum speed of 385 km/h, demonstrating the line’s advanced capabilities. The testing confirmed the system’s ability to handle high-speed operations while maintaining safety and efficiency. Wei emphasized the dedication of the team in fulfilling all testing tasks, paving the way for the line’s official launch.

The new high-speed rail line, a transformative project, promises to enhance connectivity and economic growth in the Yangtze River Delta. With its cutting-edge technology and meticulous preparation, it sets new standards for rail travel in China.
