NERZ has started to master the repair of freight electric locomotives 2ES10

Now an engineering center is being created at the plant, where the necessary documentation for the implementation of this project will be developed. In December, the company will begin pilot testing of the first electric locomotive 2EC10, which plans to complete in June 2022.
The preliminary amount of investment in the project by 2024 will be more than 540 million rubles.
At present, 2ES10 electric locomotives are serviced by STM-Service on the basis of Taiga and Sverdlovsk service and locomotive depots.
This was reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to tzdjournal.
NERZ will be the first plant to master the average repairs of 2EC10, needed upon reaching a mileage of 1.8 million km.
2EC10 electric locomotives were developed by STM together with Siemens, and since 2010 they have been manufactured at the Ural Locomotives plant. As of October 2021, 179 2EC10 electric locomotives were produced.
