Naviland Cargo Invests in New Railway Platforms to Boost Freight Efficiency
14.11.2024
Naviland Cargo invests €100 million in new railway platforms, extending their length to 80 feet. This upgrade will allow the company to meet growing demand for 40-foot container shipments. This was reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Benefits of the New Railway Platforms
Switching to modern 80-foot railway platforms enables Naviland Cargo to improve logistics efficiency. The new platforms increase container capacity per train from 35 to 54 units and extend train length from 730 to 850 meters. This strategic move aims to reduce delivery times and boost the company’s logistical capabilities.
China Speeds Up Intelligent Connected Vehicle on Roads for Safer Transport
Naviland Cargo acquired the new railway platforms from leasing company Ermewa, known for reliable railway freight solutions. The old platforms, with an average age of 45 years, no longer meet current efficiency and safety standards. They will be sent for recycling, aligning with Naviland Cargo’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
Replacing Old Railway Platforms with Modern Solutions
Naviland Cargo decided to replace outdated railway platforms as part of a broader fleet renewal strategy. This new equipment allows the company to serve clients faster and transport cargo containers more effectively, which is crucial as demand for freight transport continues to grow.
