Kyiv region tax authorities seized more than 300 railway wagons
During the pre-trial investigation of criminal proceedings, tax police of the State Fiscal Service in the Kyiv region identified officials of one of the Ukrainian enterprises who imported 303 railway wagons into the customs territory of the country under the “temporary import” regime with partial exemption from taxation. This is reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to the Main Department of the SFS in the Kyiv region.
Officials deliberately evaded taxes, illegally transferring these railway wagons for lease. They did not register them in the appropriate import customs regime. In the total they evaded taxes for the amount of UAH 20.8 million.
The court has seized railway wagons. According to customs declarations, their cost is UAH 111 million.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine recently extended the ban on the import of railway wagons from Russia until December 31, 2021.
