24.05.2024
The Multimodal Land-Sea Corridor ILSTC continues to strengthen its position as an important transport artery within the “Belt and Road Initiative.”, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

In the first four months of 2024, container traffic through this corridor exceeded 300,000 TEU.
EP Cargo: Comprehensive Logistics!
This demonstrates steady growth compared to previous years: in 2023, 860,000 TEU were transported, which is 21% more than in 2022.
ILSTC connects the western regions of China with ASEAN countries through the Guangxi Beibu Gulf transport system, including the ports of Fangchenggang, Qinzhou, and Beihai.
This corridor has become a key element for expanding trade ties between businesses in Western China, especially Chongqing, and ASEAN countries, particularly Singapore.
An important step in strengthening the partnership between China and Singapore was the signing of a memorandum of understanding in 2018 on the establishment of the new transport union Chongqing Connectivity Initiative – International Land–Sea Trade Corridor (CCI-ILSTC).
This step opens new prospects for the development of trade and economic relations between the two countries and contributes to strengthening infrastructural links in the region.
