The advanced technology of the new Evolution series locomotives aligns with the global trend towards more environmentally friendly practices.

The locomotive is aimed at reducing emissions compared to its predecessor, the AC4400.

High-strength materials used in production also significantly extend intervals between major diesel engine overhauls, reducing operational costs throughout the locomotive’s lifecycle.

The ES44ACi model locomotives, released in 2022, are equipped with Evolution series diesel engines, delivering 4500 horsepower with 12 cylinders.

The electronic four-stroke internal combustion engine with turbocharging provides greater energy efficiency and lower emissions due to a combustion design focused on thermal efficiency, combined with a dual air cooling system.
