Vilnius and Riga are getting even closer thanks to the new passenger train launched by the Lithuanian operator LTG Link, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The ticket price for the 2nd-class cabin is 24 euros, with an option for 1st-class tickets.

Alstom plans to increase locomotive production

The train departs from Vilnius at 6:30 with convenient stops, reaching Riga at 10:43. The return journey from Riga starts at 15:28, providing convenient options for travelers.

It’s important to note the possibility of transferring in Kaišiadorys to the Kaunas—Vilnius train.

Transportation is carried out using the PESA Bydgoszcz diesel train, equipped with everything needed for a comfortable journey, including amenities for people with limited mobility and air conditioning.

The train accommodates 142 passengers and offers four spaces for bicycles at a fixed price of 10 euros for the entire route.

Travelers can also enjoy hot and cold snacks and drinks during the journey.

LTG Link trains to Riga

This innovation will make travel between the capitals more convenient, replacing the previous inconvenient transfer in Daugavpils, especially given the restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

The new Vilnius—Riga train will become a convenient and comfortable means of transportation for passengers.
