LTG Cargo Ukraine has launched a large-scale project to transport new hopper wagons to Lithuania, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

LTG Cargo Ukraine hopper wagons

At the end of August, a batch of 20 wagons departed from a Ukrainian plant toward Lithuania. These wagons have a volume of 116 m³, making them the largest ever operated by LTG Cargo.

LTG Cargo Ukraine has implemented a new project!

The transportation of the wagons requires adaptation to different railway track standards. In Poland, at the Sędziszów station, the wagons underwent a bogie change procedure to switch from the broad-gauge 1520 mm to the European standard gauge of 1435 mm.

After the successful bogie change, the wagons continued their journey to the Šeštokai station in Lithuania.

It is expected that these new hopper wagons will soon be used for transporting grain within Lithuania.

With their help, LTG Cargo plans to improve logistical capabilities for the upcoming harvest season.

The modern wagons provide larger capacity and increased transportation efficiency, which is especially important for the agricultural sector.

The development of such projects enhances integration between Ukraine and the Baltic countries.

LTG Cargo has ambitious goals to expand its transportation capabilities not only in the domestic market but also internationally.
