The Polish freight carrier Lotos Kolej has announced a tender for the supply of 20 six-axle and 20 four-axle single-system electric locomotives, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The prospective rolling stock must be capable of transporting trains weighing up to 2,400/3,000 tons (depending on the number of axles) at a speed of 80 km/h.

The maximum operational speed should be at least 120/160 km/h, with a tractive effort of 196 kN.
