As a result of the Russian invasion, Ukraine lost $564.9 billion. Such data was published on theFacebook page of First Vice Prime Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko.

Losses of infrastructure in Ukraine

The official noted that there are at least two methods for calculating casualties. The first is an estimate of losses from direct destruction, the second is a calculation of losses from the overall impact of hostilities, that is, all the consequences, including the worsening economic situation in the state, rising unemployment, blocking trade, reducing consumer demand, etc., reports the railway magazineжурнал Railway Supply with a link to Railinsider.

At present, the destruction structure is as follows:

$119 billion – loss of infrastructure (almost 8 thousand km of roads, dozens of railway stations, airports were destroyed and damaged);
$112 billion in GDP losses in 2022;
$90.5 billion – losses of the civilian population (10 million m2 of housing, 200 thousand cars, food supply for 5 million people);
$80 billion – losses of enterprises and organizations;
$54 billion – loss of direct investment in the Ukrainian economy;
$48 billion – losses of the state budget.

“Every day the numbers are changing and, unfortunately, they are growing. That is why Ukraine, despite all the obstacles, will seek to recover compensation payments from the aggressor. Both by court decisions and by transferring the frozen assets of the Russian Federation to our state,” Yulia Sviridenko emphasized.
