Latvian Railway plans to increase the volume of freight traffic from Ukraine

The delegation of the Latvian railway presented in Ukraine the additional possibilities of the Baltic transport corridor, as well as the ZUBR container train.

According to the Chairman of the Board of LDz Maris Kleinbergs, so far there are a lot of challenges for the Latvian railway transport and the port industry, so every opportunity to attract potential customers and cooperation partners should be used, reports Railway Supply magazine.

The company expects to deepen cooperation with Ukrzaliznytsya, which should increase the volume of cargo transportation between the countries. Also, the country expects to restore the train on the Kyiv – Riga route.
