Kryukovsky Railway Car Building Works (KRCBW) has unveiled its first two passenger cars from a government order of 66 units, planned for delivery under Ukraine’s railway modernization program. This was reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The official presentation took place on November 4, 2024, in Kyiv, celebrating National Railway Workers’ Day. Among the attendees were Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, and Deputy Prime Minister for Ukraine’s Reconstruction.

Leaders of “Ukrzaliznytsia,” Oleksandr Pertsovskyi, and KRCBW’s CEO, Maksym Kramarenko, showcased the new cars and addressed questions. They highlighted updated interior features specifically designed to enhance passenger comfort.

Prime Minister Shmyhal stressed the importance of these projects for Ukraine’s economy, stating, “The new cars, built by the Kryukovsky Railway Car Building Works, represent a crucial investment in supporting domestic production and improving conditions for citizens.”

Kryukovsky Railway Car Building Works plans to begin large-scale deliveries of passenger cars to “Ukrzaliznytsia” in the fourth quarter of this year.
