Kazakhstan is ready to transfer ports on the Caspian Sea under the management of EU companies. Kazakhstan’s Minister of Transport, Marat Karabayev, and the EU Commissioner for Transport, Adina Vălean, discussed the transfer of the Aktau and Kuryk ports under a ship-or-pay arrangement, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Officials also deliberated on Kazakhstan’s plans to establish a container hub in the Caspian.
