Škoda Group will perform a major overhaul of eight more trams from Liberec

Skoda Group will carry out a major overhaul of eight more trams for the transport company of Liberec and Jablonec nad Nisou (DPMLJ). The major overhaul will involve four T3R.PLF trams and four T3R.PV trams, according to the railway portal Railway Supply.
The projects will be implemented in 2024 and 2025 at Škoda’s production site in Martinov, Ostrava.
The total value of the contract amounts to 2.7 million euros. Škoda Group has extensive experience in the repair and modernization of public transport vehicles, and this is already the second similar contract for DPMLJ.
The contract for the repair and modernization of eight T3 trams follows the initial contract for the repair of six T3 tram bodies since 2022, which is currently ongoing in Ostrava.
The major overhaul includes a range of works, including a complete cleaning of metal parts, replacement of damaged or corroded components, repair of door panels, and replacement of air ducts.

The interior of the vehicles will also undergo refurbishment, with a complete repair of tables, seats, and instrument panels in the driver’s cabin.
The project for the modernization of eight trams will be implemented in 2024 and 2025, with a total contract value of 2.7 million euros.
The repair and modernization works will take place at the Škoda Group plant in Martinov, Ostrava, where they are working on a number of tram orders for both Czech and foreign markets.
